LAAGA CHUNARI MAIN DAAG




Here is another great music album. It's Laaga Chunari Mein Daag directed by Pradeep Sarkar and stars Jaya Bachchan, Rani Mukherjee, Konkona Sen Sharma, Abhishek Bachchan, Kunal Kapoor, Anupam Kher, Kirron Kher and Farida Jalal in the important and some not-so-important roles.

Shantanu Moitra has directed the music of LCMA, and created a wonderful piece of work. Although I haven't listened to all of them, the first couple of songs are absolutely great. Hum To Aise Hain is a sweet song. Ok, it's your turn now. Listen and enjoy ;)

Om ShANTI OM




Behold ladies and gentlemen! Music of the biggest movie of the year is here, and I am absolutely thrilled to say that you and I are among the very first to listen to them. As you already know, Om Shanti Om is the highly expected movie by Farah Khan starring the one and only Shahrukh Khan along with Deepika Padukone, Shreyas Talpade, Arjun Rampal and Kiron Kher playing the important roles. So far I know only what you all know about the film, if you have seen the trailers that is. Shahrukh is presented with an all new look, amazingly ripped body with stunning six-packs and a new hair style. There's also another treat in store for us all, more than 30 big names of Bollywood are to feature in one of the songs!! What else can we say except THANK YOU FARAH AND SHAHRUKH FOR ANOTHER GREAT FILM!!!

Music of Om Shanti Om is directed by the wonderful duo Vishal-Shekhar. I'm listening to Dard-e-Disco as I'm writing this and it's a superb song. I have listened to all of them, and I absolutely love them (most, not of 'em ;p). Great music and great lyrics penned down by Javed Aktar himself. SO don't wait and start downloading!!!!

Bhool Bhullaiya




Bhool Bhulaiyaa is directed by Priyadarshan and stars Akshay Kumar, Vidya Balan, Amisha Patel, Shiny Ahuja, Paresh Rawal, Rajpal Yadav and Asrani for major roles.

Pritam has composed the scores for Bhool Bhulaiyaa. I can't say much about this film, as I know nothing and haven't had a chance to listen to the songs either. I just hope it's good and that you all like it.

Masoom songs

Here's an oldie/classic/golden album for ya'll! Director Shekhar Kapoor started his directorial career with Masoom, and what a start. Starring Naseeruddin Shah, Shabana Azmi, and child artists Jugal Hansraj, Urmila Matondkar and Aradhana. Masoom won 5 Filmfare Awards including Best Actor's (Naseerudhin Shah). I read a great review of this film by Carla from FilmiGeek.com which I think you will love.

The beautiful music of Masoom is directed by the legendary R.D. Burman. I have been asked for the song 'Nani Teri Morni Ko' from the 1960 Masoom numerous times so far, and I was searching for that song when I came across this great album. And I'm so glad I did. This one also has a great children's song (Ladki Ki Kaathi). Enough from me, now you treat yourselves to some magic of Burman.

Dhamaal

Dhamaal is a film by director Inder Kumar. It is a comedy film starring our favorite actor Sanjay Dutt, Arshad Warsi, Ritesh Deshmukh, Aftabh Shivdasani, and Ashish Chaudhary. It's good to have films about silly topics with silly jokes every now and then. But too many of them can be pretty annoying, like those so many films of the last year about blind, deaf and dumb characters.

Anyway, music of Dhamaal is composed by Adnan Sami, he has also lent his vocals to a couple of the songs. Unfortunately this album is one of his worst works so far. He's made some great songs in the past. Let's hope that trend doesn't go down.

The makers of Om Shanti Om have released a promo, this song titled Dard-e-Disco, featuring Shahrukh Khan in an all new avatar. He's obviously worked out a lot, his new muscular body and the new hair style look good on him. Om Shanti Om is an upcoming film by Farah Khan. Promos look pretty promising. Dhokha


Dhokha (2007)::.
Dhokha is the upcoming film from Bhatt-land: Mahesh Bhatt presents a Pooja Bhatt film produced by Mukesh Bhatt !!! Dhokha stars Anupam Kher, Gulshan Grover, Ashuntosh Rana, Vineeth Kumar, Tulip Joshi and Muzammil Ibrahim in major roles. This film marks the start of a, hopefully good, acting career for Ibrahim who is quite a successful model. I hope he doesn't turn out like all the other guys with great bodies and no acting skills.... and no brain!

Music of Dhokha is composed by M.M. Kreem and Shiraz Uppal. I hope you like the songs.

Hi every body, thanks to all of you for visiting DHS, and special thanks to those who commented. Apologies if I can't respond to each one separately, but know that I really appreciate it. Aggar is a film by Ananth Narayan Mahadevan and stars Tusshar Kapoor, Shreyas Talpade, Vikas Kalantri and Udita Goswami. Music of Aggar is by Mithoon. I'm listening to the first song as I'm writing this. It's a pretty good song. Let me know how you like the rest of 'em.

RGV KI AAG



I've been tracking Ram Gopal Varma Ki Aag for quite a while in order to be among the first to post its music, I hope I've achieved that. So here is of Aag, RGV's much hyped remake of the a classic masterpiece, Sholay. (For those of you who have seen The Magnificent Seven (1960), you might know that Sholay (1975) was a very well done adaptation of The Magnificent Seven and not an original story by Salim Javed. I know some people will really hate me for pointing that out. Check it out for yourselves.) The cast of Aag include Amitabh Bachchan, Mohanlal, Ajay Devgan, Prashant Raj, Nisha Kothori, Sushmita Sen, Rajpal Yadav, Boman Irani and features Urmila Matondkar in the song Mehbooba as the sexy dancer.


Music of Aag is by Ganesh Hegde, Bappi Lahiri, Amar Mohile and Vishal Bharadwaj. I've already said enough about the film and don't want to be hated more than I am already. Check out the songs and see what you think. Cheers.

HEYY BABYY


Heyy Babyy is a multi-star cast film directed by Sajid Khan. The main roles are portrayed by Akshay Kumar, Fardeen Khan, Ritesh Deshmukh, Vidya Balan and Boman Irani. Its soundtrack was released quite a while back, but I getting a chance to post it now. So here it is:

APNE,NAQAAB,SHOOTOUT,CHEENI KUM AnD MaNyMoRe


The music release after Abbas-Mastan and stars Bobby Deol, Akshay Khanna and the model-turned-actress Urvashi Sharma in her debut role. It's a thriller, involving a love triangle, I guess.

Music of Naqaab is composed by Pritam, who has created some great music in the past. Since I am trying to catch up with the latest releases, I haven't had a chance to listen to this album myself. I hope this is good and that you will like it.

Shootout At Lokhandwala (you might already know this) is a film based the true story of the clash between the Mumbhai Police and five members of gang members. The police squad were lead by inspector Khan (Sanjay Dutt) and the gangsters by Maya (Vivek Oberoi). Other actors who have played major roles in this film are Amitabh Bachchan, Sunil Shetty, Arbaaz Khan, Tusshar Kapoor, Aarti Chhabria, Rohit Roy, Neha Dhupia, Diya Mirza, Amrita Singh and Abhishek Bachchan. Shootout is directed by Apoorva Lakhia. It is quite a good movie. It is not for you, if you are a little weak in heart because there's quite a lot of blood and death. There is one thing I would like to complain about and that is Tusshar playing Buwa's role. It just doesn't seem right; Buwa in reality was one of the coldest killers and Mr. Kapoor doesn't quite portray that. In fact none of the actors playing the gang members have acted up to the reputation of the actual gangsters, turning them into nicer people instead of the ruthless killers that they were. This probably is an intentional effort by the director, but this results in the viewers sympathizing with the gang members. Anyway, it is a very entertaining film, specially for the fans of the gangsta genre.

Contributions have been made multiple composers/directors in the music department including Anand Raj Anand, Mika, Biddu and Strings. The diversity in music direction and style has played quite well for Shootout. I hope you like it.

ApneApne is a film directed by Anil Sharma and stars Dharmendra and his two sons, Sunny Deol and Bobby Deol, alongside Katrina Kaif and Shelpa Shetty. It's the first film to feature Dharmendra and his to sons together. It's a family film, probably with lots of tears and sorrows and hopefully not with a story already told. We've had too much of that. Daddy's Girl has a wonderful blog, In Praise of All Things Dharmendra. Chech it out whether you are a Dharmendra/Sunny/Bobby fan or not. It's a fun blog, a really nice read.

Music of Apne is composed by the widely love and hated director, Himesh Reshammiya. I'm personally in the 'hate' pole in regards with his music, and voice. It's a typical Himesh album, with a lot of the songs in his own voice. I do think Dekhoon Tujhe To Pyaar Aaye could have been much better if it was sung by someone else. Actually all songs could've been better, but that particular song has potential in my mind. But thanks to Himesh, I don't like it. I hope you are from 'love' end of his fan spectrum and enjoy this album.

Say Salaam India is the story of cricket, it's about a bunch of cricket loving young boys who are coached by an even bigger cricket fanatic, Sanjay Suri (Hari Sadu), who are aiming for the state championship trophy. Other major roles are played by Milind Soman, Sandhya Mridul and Sachin Khedekar. The film is directed by Subhash Kapoor and music is by Gaurav Dayal. I hope you like the songs.

RaqeebRaqeeb is the latest film by Anurag Singh which stars Jimmy Shergill, Tanushree Dutta, Rahul Khanna and Sharman Joshi. Music of Raqeeb is composed by Pritam. It was released quite a while ago, and I hope you've seen it or you will in the near future. I hear it is quite a good movie.

Cheeni Kum Big B is in love again in love Cheeni Kum with someone a lot younger than himself, Tabu. In fact, in the film Tabu's father (Paresh Rawal) is 6 years his junior. Seems like an interesting story, and hopefully the debutant director R. Balakrishnan does a fine job of telling it.

Music of Cheeni Kum is composed by Ilayaraja. The whole album has a nice slow feel to it, which is great to see after all the fast paced and loud ones released in the past few months. The title songs is very nice and playful. The other songs are pretty good too. I'm sure you're gonna like this one.
